Valentines' Day: The day of hearts and extortion


Valentines' Day, is a day full of love. A day when you can show your love through outrageously markup items. A day took over by big corporate companies. A day when companies take advantage of your love. A capitalist’s dream!

In order to sell pricey goods designed for the romantic holiday, huge firms now take advantage of people's emotions on Valentine's Day. Businesses spend a lot of money on advertising, which puts pressure on consumers to purchase pricey gifts as a sign of their affection. This perfectly embodies the ideals of capitalism. It is essential for customers to be aware of commercialization and restrain their expenditure. Love shouldn't be evaluated based on how much anything costs. Simple acts of affection like exchanging handwritten notes or spending time together work well. Genuine acts of affection, intimate deeds, and deep ties should take precedence above commercial considerations. By doing this, we may revive the original essence of love and give ourselves and our loved ones a more heartfelt and genuine Valentine's Day celebration.


In conclusion, although large corporations and their profit-driven agendas have come to dominate Valentine's Day, it is up to us as individuals to redefine its significance. Let's place a higher value on sincere acts of love, thoughtful gestures, and deep ties than on business considerations. By doing this, we may revive the original essence of love and give ourselves and our loved ones a more heartfelt and genuine Valentine's Day celebration.
